The purpose for which the Corporation was created is as follows: It is an Amateur Radio Social Club, whose activity revolves around information concerning Amateur operations in far-off lands. The intent is to promote "amateur radio and short wave listening, DX knowledge and technology, education, fraternalism, and individual operating efficiency".

As part of this mission, since 2006 NCDXA has held and sponsored the 3rd call area incoming QSL bureau.
